Join my dedicated team at primary schools throughout the Wakefield area on a long-term basis, committed to providing an inclusive learning environment. I am seeking experienced Teaching Assistant's, including a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure the students receive the support they need to succeed.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage One or Key Stage Two students.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to students with SEN, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their potential.
  • Adapt teaching materials to cater to individual learning requirements and styles.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Address behavioural and emotional challenges with sensitivity and effective strategies.
  • Work in partnership with staff to develop and execute personalized learning plans for SEN students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, with a focus on supporting children with SEN.
  • Demonstrable patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to student support.
  • Strong ability to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent.
