Morgan Hunt are working with a market leading Welfare to Work provider who are recruiting for an Employer Engagement Officer in West Yorkshire. This role will involve will sourcing work placements opportunities for SEN learners currently on a Supported Internship programme. This is a part time (2.5 days per week which can be worked flexible) and is a permanent contract . The salary for this role is paying between £12,260 - £15,046. The role will be based across Wakefield and York. The Employer Engagement Officer will be responsible for:

  • Engaging with local employers to source suitable work opportunities for SEN learners
  • Establishing learners needs to identify preference of suitable roles for work experience
  • Having a clear understanding of the learners difficulties to gain employment and addressing these
  • Collaborating with the Tutor and Employer Engagement Officer to ensure suitable placements are sourced
  • Building long lasting relationships with external stakeholders

The Employer Engagement Officer will need to have:

  • Experience of engaging employers with a track record of sourcing vacancies
  • Knowledge or experience in working with SEN learners and how to identify suitable work placements
  • Experience in working on employability programmes
  • Worked within a target driven environment
  • The ability to travel across various sites

In return the Employer Engagement Officer will receive:

  • A salary between £12,260 - £15,046
  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata) (plus bank holidays) increasing with service
  • Enhanced pension scheme after 6 months
  • Life Assurance at 3 times annual salary rate
