At Engage, one of our outstanding secondary schools in the Wakefield area (WF2) are looking for an experienced Design Technology teacher to start September 2025 on a full-time long-term basis. If you’re a Design Technology Teacher who is looking for a long-term role, this might be the role for you!

About the role

This secondary school in Wakefield is looking to appoint an ambitious DT Teacher for a maternity cover role who is flexible and comfortable with the Design Technology curriculum. All specialisms will be considered, however, the ability to teach across multiple disciplines at KS3 and Catering and Textiles at KS4 would be desirable.

About you
  • Have the ability to plan and deliver informative and engaging lessons

  • Have experience teaching to KS3 and KS4

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have proven experience in raising pupil progression and dealing with students of all learning abilities
