We are currently seeking a Neighbourhood Co-ordinator to join our Neighbourhoods Team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of the ‘more than Neighbourhoods' project, helping drive forward change and improvements within the sustainable neighbourhood's service. Working to achieve our service outcomes of delivering high customer and staff satisfaction, ensuring we have effective customer and staff engagement and incremental and sustained improvement in performance.

Requirements

Outline of key responsibilities for the Neighbourhood Coordinator...

  • With the Neighbourhood Manager provide effective leadership and management of a neighbourhood management team
  • Responsibility for all operational performance and for the work of front-line staff in the neighbourhood management service to ensure performance targets are met or exceeded and where appropriate, corrective action is taken
  • Working with the lettings, repairs and asset teams ensure that the number of void properties and void loss is kept to a minimum
  • To manage all aspects of tenancy management and ensure action is taken against tenants for breaches of their tenancy conditions such as condition of property and/or garden
  • To ensure anti-social behaviour cases are recorded and managed appropriately by neighbourhood officers, managing risks and any safeguarding concerns
  • To work with the income teams as appropriate to meet the challenges of welfare reform and minimise rent arrears as well as reduce the incidence former tenant debt
  • To work with the Neighbourhood Manger to achieve continuous improvement culture within the team by developing new ideas and seeking out best practice
  • To be responsible for the appraisal, training, motivation, supervision and performance of all staff for whom the post holder is responsible, through 1:1's, PDR's, coaching and feedback

We are looking for someone who has...

  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Proven experience of managing a front line service
  • Proven experience of managing finance and budgets
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment dealing directly with members of the public in stressful and complex situations
  • Knowledge and understanding of current housing and neighbourhood management issues including legal and statutory regulation
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current housing issues and welfare benefits including the Welfare Reform Act
