Are you passionate about improving educational outcomes for children and young people? We are currently seeking an experienced Education Welfare Officer to provide temporary agency cover within our Education Welfare Service for a period of 15 weeks.


Key Responsibilities:
* Work directly with schools to promote and improve pupil attendance.
* Support schools in identifying and addressing barriers to regular attendance.
* Manage a caseload of families who have chosen to Electively Home Educate (EHE), ensuring that statutory responsibilities are met and providing appropriate guidance.
* Liaise with parents, schools, and external agencies to support children's welfare and access to education.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case notes.


Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working in or with schools - preferably within school attendance or a related welfare role.
* Strong understanding of attendance legislation and safeguarding procedures.
* Experience managing caseloads and working with families in a supportive and professional capacity.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
* A valid Enhanced DBS check for working with children and adults.
