We are currently seeking an experienced Education Welfare Officer to provide temporary agency cover within our Education Welfare Service for a period of 15 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:* Work directly with schools to promote and improve pupil attendance.* Support schools in identifying and addressing barriers to regular attendance.* Manage a caseload of families who have chosen to Electively Home Educate (EHE), ensuring that statutory responsibilities are met and providing appropriate guidance.* Liaise with parents, schools, and external agencies to support children's welfare and access to education.* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and case notes.

Essential Requirements:* Previous experience working in or with schools - preferably within school attendance or a related welfare role.* Strong understanding of attendance legislation and safeguarding procedures.* Experience managing caseloads and working with families in a supportive and professional capacity.* Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.* A valid Enhanced DBS check for working with children and adults.
