About the School

This welcoming and inclusive school caters to students aged 11–19 with a range of complex needs, including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, speech and language challenges, and behaviours that may challenge. With small class sizes (up to 8 pupils), strong 1:1 support, and a committed therapy team, the school offers a nurturing environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of the team, working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning experiences. Your support will help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

  • Build trusting relationships to foster a safe and engaging classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Experienced in supporting children or young people with SEN (paid or voluntary)
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to student wellbeing
  • Hold GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or equivalent)
  • Ideally qualified at Level 2 or above in Support Work for Teaching and Learning
  • Knowledgeable about safeguarding and child protection
  • Familiar with SEN/SEMH/ASD needs
