My client is a company within the fluid power sector renowned across the market due to their product quality, service levels and extensive knowledge of the industry. Due to a fantastic period of growth, they are looking to add an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their operations team. My client is a distributor of high-quality products from leading brands such as Parker and Hydro Leduc selling in various markets including Transport, Mobile and Industrial. This role is for a driven technical sales professional who has strong hydraulic knowledge and a drive to provide first class customer service.
Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Wakefield
Package: Basic £38,000 - £42,000, bonus, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and pension scheme.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Develop and build relationships with clients.
- Provide technical support to clients’ enquiries.
- Follow up on sales leads.
- Produce and manage client quotations.
- Offer exceptional customer service.

- Strong organisational skills.
- Flexible approach of day-to-day requirements.
- Able to work on your own initiative and provide support in team projects.
- Strong hydraulic component and systems knowledge.
- An understanding of Hydraulics / Fluid Power.
- Focused and driven to be successful.
- An ability to work closely with clients and colleagues of various levels.
- Good communications skills both verbally and written.
- Knowledge of truck electrification would be advantageous.
