Description

The Maintenance Manager will report into the Site Engineering Manager and will drive capacity developments across a complex manufacturing operation working closely with Production and Quality teams. You will lead a talented team of engineers will be responsible for succession planning and development.

Other day to day responsibilities include:

  • Effective management of the production maintenance through a team of Team Leaders and multi-skilled engineers
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to increase efficiencies using TPM methodologies
  • Work closely with production management to minimize downtime
  • Provide technical support and training to the engineering team
  • Develop and mentor engineering apprentices

Profile

The successful Maintenance Manager will possess a range of the following:

  • Experience in a team leader or maintenance management role within the FMCG sector
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • The ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software
  • Minimum HNC qualification
  • Electrical bias with 18th edition qualification
