About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised, confident, and proactive individual to join our team as an Account manager. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with our existing customer base, managing maintenance contracts, supporting sales activities, and contributing to marketing and branding efforts.
The ideal candidate will be a natural communicator with a keen eye for detail, capable of managing multiple responsibilities including site visits, marketing updates, sales support, and liaison between departments to ensure our clients receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a robust client portfolio through regular visits and communication.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all client interactions – in-person, phone, and email – to ensure seamless follow-up.
  • Assist in managing and renewing maintenance contracts and proposals.
  • Provide clients with up-to-date company documents and respond to queries promptly.
  • Act as a key point of contact between clients and internal departments.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding POs, invoices, and other client-related issues.
  • Support vetting and certification processes for engineers.
  • Assist in collecting and distributing quotations and project updates.
  • Organise and minute meetings as required.

Marketing:

  • Research and identify potential new clients, tracking leads and maintaining a prospect database.
  • Support marketing initiatives including social media (LinkedIn), website updates (WordPress), and branding materials.
  • Manage marketing content such as case studies, sponsorships, and online posts.
  • Maintain promotional materials including folders, stationery, and branded items.
  • Represent the company at sponsorship events and support the relationship with clubs (e.g. Tranmere Rovers, Wallasey Cricket and Rugby Clubs).
  • Keep company presentations and marketing documents updated and readily available.

Administration & Compliance:

  • Update client records and internal databases (e.g. CLIK).
  • Maintain various online portals including Ariba, Avetta, and Basware.
  • Complete supplier, insurance, and compliance forms.
  • Ensure all health & safety, quality management, and internal policies are adhered to.
  • Support internal teams and directors with ad hoc administrative duties.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing, sales or account management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience with CRM systems (e.g. CLIK), Microsoft Office, and website CMS (e.g. WordPress).
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing, or maintenance contract environments is highly desirable.
