Your new companyHays are working with an over-subscribed secondary school in the Wirral to find a Science teacher for September 2025. This is a vibrant school who prioritise staff wellbeing. This is a temporary science teacher job with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school and communicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strong community feeling. The school welcome applications from ECT's and experienced teachers.Your new roleStarting in September, you will be a key part of the dedicated Science department, including full teaching responsibilities such as:

  • Teach KS3 - KS4
  • Nurture a range of learning abilities
  • Staff meetings
  • Parents evenings
  • Pastoral responsibilities,
  • Planning and preparation of lessons
  • Marking and assessment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field
  • Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
