Finance Administrator

We are seeking a Finance Administrator to provide essential administrative support to our client's Finance team. A wonderful organisation providing valuable services to a range of people, with an excellent reputation in the local community.

This role involves working closely with other team members to deliver accurate financial information to Senior Management and Operational teams, and maintaining financial records for multiple entities.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage the purchase ledger, including checking invoice authorisation, entry on Sage, and raising payments.
  • Handle the sales ledger, including raising invoices for various services and costs, allocating receipts to invoices, and resolving queries with the finance and operational teams.
  • Ensure timely receipt of payments for all invoices and chase any overdue amounts.
  • Analyse and verify income received from local authorities, highlighting discrepancies to Finance Managers.
  • Process cash transactions and prepare for banking.
  • Conduct bank processing and reconciliations.
  • Manage monthly credit card returns and analyse costs.
  • Analyse, process, and reconcile various income, fundraising, and costs to facilitate understanding and communication with operational teams.
  • Assist with the annual Statutory Audit, providing support and backup to auditors for transactions.
  • Support the operational team with activities and fundraising events as needed.
  • Ensure all financial records are stored and archived appropriately.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support projects as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in financial administration, preferably within a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using financial software, such as Sage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills, capable of working with multiple teams.
  • The role requires an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
