As student numbers continue to grow, we’re excited to be supporting a great college in Newcastle as they expand their delivery for Electrical Installation. We are for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Electrical Installation to help shape the future of our learners by delivering high-quality teaching, training, and support.
We are also welcoming people from industry to apply for the role who wish to pass on their experience to new apprentices and learners, and the College group will fund and put you through your relevant teaching qualifications. This role would be fantastic for those with hands on industry experience and knowledge that might be looking at different avenues and career progressions, and full support and training will be given by a fantastic management team, who are also mostly compromised of former industry workers.
�? About the Role:You'll play a key part in delivering both practical and theoretical sessions in Electrical Installation — from hands-on training in our workshops to classroom-based learning. You'll be guiding students through core topics like AC theory, single and three-phase systems, and the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, helping them develop the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in the industry.
You’ll also be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, assessing learner progress, and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
???�? What You’ll Be Doing:-
Teaching and assessing Electrical Installation qualifications (up to Level 3)

Delivering practical training and underpinning knowledge in both workshop and classroom settings

Supporting students' academic and personal development through tutorials and coaching

Collaborating with course teams and contributing to curriculum planning and improvement

Maintaining excellent communication with parents, schools, and employers
-
Taking part in examinations, assessments, and student progress tracking

Strong knowledge and experience in Electrical Installation

Confidence and ability to teach up to Level 3

A minimum qualification of NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation is the only minimum required to apply for this vacancy

Evidence of successful course leadership or previous experience teaching or lecturing (a plus, but not essential!)
