What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Carpentry and Joinery programmes.
  • Support learners individually and in groups to achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with employers to enhance apprenticeship delivery and curriculum relevance.
  • Plan, assess, and review learning programmes in line with industry standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Substantial industry experience and occupational competence in Carpentry and Joinery.
  • Subject-relevant qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Assessors Award (A1 or TDLB 32/33) or willingness to complete.
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or willingness to work towards.
  • Strong communication, IT, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Car owner/driver with flexibility to travel.
  • Commitment to learner engagement, safeguarding, and equality and diversity.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Desirable:

  • Verification Award (V1 or TDLB 34) or willingness to work towards.
  • Experience delivering NVQs, apprenticeships, or employer-responsive programmes.
