Female Complex Needs Counsellor (Jasmine Project)
Location: EACH Ealing, W13 8RA
Salary: ÂŁ26,174 to ÂŁ28,458 per annum, Pro-rata (inclusive of Outer London Weighting) for FTE (37.5hours)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, subject to performance and continuous funding

We are looking for a Female Complex Needs Counsellor who will be pivotal to developing and delivering our Jasmine service for women experiencing multiple needs – substance misuse, domestic abuse and mental health – in Ealing.
The post holder will be responsible for providing co-ordination to the work, involving volunteer counsellors and peers in supporting women, and also providing one to one counselling and group programme.
The post holder is part of our Ealing service and will contribute to its effectiveness and to the success of our counselling programmes across the organisation.
As our Complex Needs Counsellor you will:
• Provide structured counselling and groups for women with complex needs to address substance misuse, mental health and domestic abuse
• Establish referral pathways and partnership working
• Support volunteer counsellors and development of peer-led activities
• Undertake co-ordination of the support to the service’s client group, and undertake monitoring and reporting
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
• Experience of supporting women from diverse backgrounds on a range of issues, e.g. substance misuse, domestic abuse and mental health
• Counselling experience and qualifications - must be registered by BACP or UKCP or another relevant professional body
• Ability to access and engage women in the service
• Understanding of trauma, recovery and harm minimisation
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to speak a relevant community language (Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Somali, Tamil, Farsi, Polish) is desirable.
