Are you a recently qualified accountant ready to take your first step into industry? We're partnering with a nationally recognised organisation looking for a Senior Accountant to join their high-performing Group Finance team. This isn't your standard month-end role - you'll dive into regulatory reporting, financial governance, and process improvement from day one, gaining exposure to senior leadership and Board-level reporting. It's the ideal move for someone coming out of practice who wants to broaden their experience, add real commercial value, and make a tangible impact across a complex, fast-moving business. What You'll Be Doing:Financial Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

  • Lead the preparation of regulatory reporting for external bodies such as the FCA and PRA.
  • Produce reports for Boards and Audit Committees on financial and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage financial accounting for several legal entities within the group.
  • Liaise across departments to ensure alignment of business decisions with regulatory requirements.
  • Track and implement changes in governance or regulation impacting the business.
  • Support refinancing activity by preparing financial covenant compliance reports.

Financial Controls & Governance

  • Drive improvements in the Group-wide control environment, identifying and resolving control gaps.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, Risk and external auditors to implement best practice controls.
  • Develop and manage testing plans for internal controls.
  • Produce executive-level summaries of the internal controls environment.
  • Recommend and implement updates in line with regulatory and industry developments.

What You'll Bring:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (1+ years PQE preferred).
  • Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge.
  • Experience with financial regulatory reporting and/or internal controls.
  • Comfortable working with external auditors and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Constructive challenger with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Highly organised and able to deliver under pressure.
