Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk looking for your next opportunity?

Hariley Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Brownhills who is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy accounts team. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, offering a pathway to a permanent role after a successful 12-week period.

During the initial temporary period, you will be employed and paid through Hariley Solutions. The client is keen to secure a long-term team member who can make a real contribution from day one.

About the Role:You will be working in a fast-paced finance team, processing a high volume of complex invoices. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, speed, and attention to detail are essential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Processing approximately 120-130 invoices per day, including multi-page documents (some up to 17 pages long)

  • Matching invoices line-by-line against purchase orders

  • Accurately applying nominal codes and ensuring VAT compliance

  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries with suppliers and internal departments

  • Preparing and supporting regular payment runs

  • Updating and maintaining supplier records and purchase ledger data

  • Filing financial documentation accurately and securely

  • Supporting colleagues within the wider accounts function

What You’ll Need:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a purchase ledger or finance role

  • Confident using finance systems (Sage, SAP, or similar)

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy

  • Good understanding of VAT and invoice matching processes

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • AAT students or early-career finance professionals are welcome to apply

Team Structure:You’ll be joining a close-knit finance team of six, becoming the seventh member. This is a collaborative and supportive environment where everyone works together to meet shared goals.
