Credit Controller / Sales Ledger Clerk
Location: Brownhills
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm 
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (first 12 weeks via Hariley Solutions, then permanent contract with the client)

We are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join our client’s busy Accounts team in Brownhills. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a temporary to permanent role within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customers pay within agreed terms

  • Chase overdue payments via phone, email, and letters

  • Maintain tidy and accurate ledgers

  • Log and resolve customer queries, liaising with Customer Service where required

  • Assist with small disputes and raise credit notes when necessary

  • Reconcile statements, investigate aged debt and unusual transactions

  • Produce reports and file documentation accurately

  • Use company IT systems to record customer contacts

  • Attend meetings and training as required

  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in credit control within a busy accounts team

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software (2+ years)

  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Able to prioritise workload effectively and adapt to new processes

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

Additional Information:

  • Temporary to permanent contract

  • DBS check will be required for the successful candidate
