Opus people solutions are currently recruiting for a Development officer (international recruitment) for our client Walsall Council, Temporary placement until September 2025 with potential extension.

Working hours: 37hrs per week - out of hours/weekends may be necessary

Pay Rate: 18.72ph

Location: Walsall Council House, Hybrid with occasional travel within the Walsall Borough.

Requirements: Driver, have access to own vehicle.

Main Purpose:

  • Support Integrated Commissioning: Assist in developing and implementing commissioning plans for adults in collaboration with various stakeholders (health, housing, social care, independent sector providers, voluntary organisations, service users, and carers).
  • Project Management: Take responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered according to plan.
  • Delivering Improved Outcomes: Conduct commissioning activities to ensure services meet required standards and regulations, leading to better outcomes for the community.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with stakeholders and contribute to project teams.
  • Support Service Improvement: Identify service issues and recommend improvements, providing support to achieve high-quality services.

  • Safeguarding: Promote the protection of vulnerable individuals, especially children, young people, and adults, ensuring their safety and independence.

  • Compliance: Ensure services align with the Council's strategy, objectives, and policies, following regulations and codes of conduct.
