Opus people solutions are currently recruiting for a Development officer (international recruitment) for our client Walsall Council, Temporary placement until September 2025 with potential extension.
Working hours: 37hrs per week - out of hours/weekends may be necessary
Pay Rate: 18.72ph
Location: Walsall Council House, Hybrid with occasional travel within the Walsall Borough.
Requirements: Driver, have access to own vehicle.
Main Purpose:
- Support Integrated Commissioning: Assist in developing and implementing commissioning plans for adults in collaboration with various stakeholders (health, housing, social care, independent sector providers, voluntary organisations, service users, and carers).
- Project Management: Take responsibility for assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered according to plan.
- Delivering Improved Outcomes: Conduct commissioning activities to ensure services meet required standards and regulations, leading to better outcomes for the community.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with stakeholders and contribute to project teams.
- Support Service Improvement: Identify service issues and recommend improvements, providing support to achieve high-quality services.
Corporate Duties & Accountabilities:

- Safeguarding: Promote the protection of vulnerable individuals, especially children, young people, and adults, ensuring their safety and independence.

In essence, the role involves project management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that commissioning services for adults are efficient, effective, and meet the needs of the community, while complying with Council policies and regulations.
