We are recruiting a fantastic opportunity as a Head of Finance for a fast-growing logistics and technology business. This is a great opportunity to play a key role within overseeing all financial aspects of the business. This role has a route to becoming Finance Director within the next 12 to 18 months.
Main Duties:
As a Head of Finance, your main duties include:
- Direct and oversee all financial functions—budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cash flow—ensuring they align seamlessly with the company’s long-term objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors and executive leadership, delivering clear, data-backed insights to guide strategic decisions and future planning.
- Design and execute comprehensive financial strategies that promote sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
- Deliver precise, timely monthly management accounts, financial statements, and performance dashboards for senior decision-makers.
- Assess current financial processes and systems to pinpoint enhancement opportunities, leading the integration of innovative solutions such as AI-powered tools, automation, and strategic outsourcing.
- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with banks, insurers, auditors, and other financial stakeholders to secure optimal outcomes.
- Inspire, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in accountability and continuous learning.
- Strengthen and monitor financial controls, systems, and processes to minimise risk and protect financial integrity.
Location / Office / Culture
This role offers a hybrid split with their offices being based in Walsall. The role itself reports into a high ambitious and supportive owner, who you will partner to help grow the business.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or strong FC experience
- Experience in a senior finance role
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
