ABC Teachers are recruiting committed and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support several specialist and mainstream schools across Walsall, including provisions for SLD, PMLD, ASC and SEMH.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and specialist staff to support children and young people with a wide range of additional learning needs. Your role will involve adapting resources, providing 1:1 support, facilitating communication, and helping to create a calm, safe and engaging learning environment.
You will play a vital part in promoting independence, emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour, ensuring every pupil is given the best opportunity to learn and develop.
The Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant Will Have:-
At least 6 months’ experience supporting children or young adults with SEND (or personal experience of SEND support)

A compassionate, patient and proactive approach

Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn

The ability to work well as part of a team

A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Training, guidance and ongoing CPD can be provided for candidates new to SEND.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant with ABC Teachers, You Will Receive:Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.)
