A leading manufacturing company within the construction sector has an exciting opportunity for an electrically biased multiskilled maintenance engineer to join their well-established Engineering Team.

Skills required
- 18th Edition Electrical wiring regulations
- HNC, City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or similar)
- A minimum of 5+ years industry experience in the high-volume manufacturing sector
- Proficient in conducting preplanned and schedule maintenance and reactive maintenance for a wide electrical and mechanical machinery, parts and components
- Strong electrical maintenance capability, proficient in electrical fault-finding, single-phase and three-phase machinery, AD DC motors, relays, switches and sensors and panel wiring
- Use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Ability to read and implement electrical and technical drawings
- Experience in CAD or similar software programmes
- Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems, processes and drawings; knowledge of belts, chains, pulleys, conveyors, gearboxes
- Knowledge of PLCs is highly desirable
- Sound knowledge of cold rolling and cold pressing processes & techniques (desirable)
- Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation requirements (desirable)
- Sound knowledge of general quality & environmental legislation requirements (desirable)
Responsibilities (non-exhuastive list)
- Routine, preventive maintenance and reactive across the site and to diagnose and propose solutions for all engineering plant breakdowns/failures
- Continuously improve performance, efficiency, safety and cost-effectiveness of engineering products and systems by developing, supporting and driving improvement opportunities and best practices approaches
- Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling & installing components.
- Support the engineering function in the development of new electrical engineering parts, products, new tooling and new engineering processes.
- Ensure all equipment, machinery, parts and fork-lift trucks are operated in accordance with health & safety, quality, environmental, compliance and sustainability policy requirements.
- Participate in Training and Continuous Professional Development, as required
