The role is hands-on, requiring a strong fabrication and welding background, excellent man-management skills, and the ability to lead from the front.This company prides itself on being industry leaders in high-integrity fabrication, welding, and tube manipulation.   • Oversee the allocation of personnel: platers, fitters, tube manipulators, welders, operatives & apprentices
  • Break down work packages for supervisors and develop efficient build methodologies
  • Advise on and control tooling, jigs, fixtures, and consumables
  • Track production targets and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Liaise closely with QA and Contracts teams regarding welding procedures
  • Promote safety, quality, teamwork, and discipline across the workshop

The person

  • Strong fabrication and welding bias
  • Familiarity with tube and plate fabrication
  • Able to confidently read and interpret complex engineering drawings
  • Self-motivated, hands-on leader who can work under their own initiative
  • Experience managing production teams within a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment
