Controls Engineer (Structured Text)£60,000 - £70,000 + Progression + Training + Early Finish FridayWalsallAre you a Controls Engineer with a background writing PLC programs in Structured Text looking to join a growing company who specialise in the development of bespoke automation systems, who can provide a leading role taking charge of all programming for projects and the opportunity to grow a team and train apprentices?On offer is the opportunity to work with an established automation company who specialise in leak testing equipment and work for a variety of clients over the UK. They are looking for a Controls Engineer to lead the PLC design and programming aspect of the business.This role will involve taking charge of all of the programming for new and old systems, you will be working closely with the Managing Director, meeting with clients for initial discussions and progress reviews. After embedding yourself within the company you will have the opportunity to grow a team and help develop the skills of apprentices.This role would suit a Controls Engineer with a background in designing PLC's using Structured Text looking to step up into a senior position, helping to lead the design of projects for large household name companies as well as grow and develop a team underneath them.The Role
- Design and Build PLC programs in Structured Text
- Liaising with clients to understand project scopes
- Growing a team underneath them
- Monday to Friday - days based.
