Job Introduction

Female Support WorkerPay rate: £13.50 per hour Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 7am till 4pm term time and non term time hours flexible.

We're looking for a caring and proactive support worker to join a small care team in Walsall.

You’ll be supporting a bright, kind-hearted young girl who is preparing to start her new secondary school journey—and she’d love someone by her side who can help her thrive.

She is deaf and communicates using British Sign Language (BSL). She’s social, funny, and full of potential, and she enjoys spending time with people who are patient, understanding, and ready to learn how she best expresses herself. She’ll be joining a specialist school where she’ll be learning alongside other deaf peers and growing in independence.

She also has a tracheostomy, so we’re looking for someone who is either already trained or open to being fully trained on this.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has knowledge of or open to learning British Sign Language
  • Is calm, confident, and compassionate
  • Has (or is willing to gain) tracheostomy care training
  • Can build positive relationships with both the child and her family
  • Is reliable and committed to consistent, person-centred care

You’ll be supporting her by accompanying her to school, helping her communicate, and ensuring she’s safe, happy, and engaged throughout her day. Most importantly, you’ll be someone who truly sees her for who she is—and supports her in living a full and joyful life.

If you’re someone who values connection, purpose, and making a real difference—we’d love to hear from you.
