We are recruiting for a large factory and company who are on the look-out for a motivated Maintenance Team Leader or Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager or Project Manager that has experience in leading, coordinating and driving teams to meet business and operational objectives. The role is heavily biased towards the driving teams, delegation of works and planning, CAPEX and budget management. The team you'll be managing consists of around 20 Engineers.
As part of this recruitment, they have made us aware this role has the opportunity to move up and into Engineering Manager as part of their succession planning. With this in mind, we need someone with ambition to progress and to manage a department or someone who is doing this presently - we are entertaining both and ideally looking for someone who has experience of CAPEX and Budget management.
Responsibilities
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you're role is to oversee all maintenance work, both proactively and reactivley, leading a maintenance team of 20 engineers. This role and opportunity still requires the "hands on" approach with an estimated split of 75% management and 25% hands on.
The factory are currently going through changes and journey, with a centered focus around Continuous Improvement and the utilisation of their CMMS. This role and objectives are to influence, promote and coordinate these through to the team, to be more proactive than reactive, minimise downtime, establish and combat reoccurring problems, look at first fix right fix, and provide necessary training to engineers by way of upskilling and developing on their weaknesses. Health and safety and compliance will form part of this roles responsibility too, ensuring all correct PPE are provided and worn, and correct procedures are followed - LOTO etc. Manage budgets and CAPEX projects.
Requirements
Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship and/or hold relevant engineering qualifications
Management of a team of Engineers and department (preferred), this could be in job positions including Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager etc.
Worked in a similar environment, such as Production, Manufacturing, Automation or Industrial
CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) - have some experience of a maintenance system and delegation to the team.
Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance and coordinating teams in completing them, as above, with the utilisation of a CMMS.
Provided Continuous Improvements in the Factory
Computer literate and can completely reports on works carried out, completed and any issues encountered etc.
Ability to prioritise and delegate workload and use own initiative in a fast-paced production environment
Exposure and promotion of Health & Safety and Compliance Procedures
Proactive work attitude and hands on attitude
Friendly, adaptable and ability to inspire others
