We are looking for aCritical Electrical Shift Engineerwho wants to work in a diverse rolewhere no two days are the same.

As theCritical Electrical Shift Engineer,you willprovide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.

TheCritical Electrical Shift Engineer,will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and controlling the operation of essential systems such as:
  • Cooling, power, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Your role involves performing emergency repairs.
  • Conducting regular inspections to ensure equipment health, and analysing facility data to identify trends and optimise performance.
  • You will develop and maintain clear operational procedures.
  • Accurately log activities, and utilise Work Notification systems.
  • Support planned preventative maintenance activities, assist specialist sub-contractors, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
  • Effective communication, technical expertise, and the ability to work under pressure are crucial for success in this role.

To be successful for this Critical Electrical Shift Engineer role you must have:

  • Minimum of 1 year working in data centres or critical environments.
  • Proficiency in fault diagnostics, BMS/PMS systems, and building services trades (UPS, Diesel Generators, HVAC, etc.).
  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical and electrical engineering, such asCity & Guildsand18th EditionInstitute of Electrical Engineers registration.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure, and adjust rapidly to changing work demands or business needs.
