Estimator (Acoustic Engineering) - Walton-on-Thames - £30,000 to £45,000 + Benefits

A specialist UK-based Acoustic Engineering Consultancy is seeking an Estimator to join their growing commercial and technical team in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction or M&E estimator to work within a niche and technically driven environment focused on the design and delivery of bespoke noise control solutions.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong background in estimating within the construction, M&E, or acoustic engineering sectors.

  • Ability to assess tender documents and formulate competitive cost estimates.

  • Comfortable liaising with contractors, engineers, architects, and suppliers.

  • Self-managing with excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Full proficiency in written and verbal communication.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with UK construction procurement processes.

  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering services or acoustic hardware (e.g., attenuators, louvres, enclosures).

  • A degree in Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience supporting both pre- and post-contract commercial stages.

The Role:You will support the business through the preparation and submission of accurate, competitive, and compliant quotations for a wide range of acoustic and mechanical engineering projects across London and the UK.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing tender packages and identifying project requirements.

  • Liaising with clients and supply chain partners to clarify technical details and pricing.

  • Designing practical, cost-effective acoustic hardware solutions (full training provided).

  • Preparing quotations, supporting documentation, and pricing strategies.

  • Coordinating with internal teams to hand over secured projects for execution.

This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, based in the Walton-on-Thames office, with regular engagement on central London and UK-wide projects. The position offers a competitive salary of £30,000-£45,000, 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), and strong long-term growth prospects.
