Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in special education settings, and possess the ability to communicate effectively with both students and educators. This role is crucial in assisting with the educational development of children, including those with autism and other special needs.

Duties

  • Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
  • Support children with special educational needs by implementing individualised learning plans and strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social interaction, emotional growth, and academic development among students.
  • Help maintain an organised classroom environment, including preparing materials for lessons and tidying up after activities.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to child education and care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a teaching or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of special education practices, especially related to working with children on the autism spectrum.
