Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for children. Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities tailored to the needs of each child.
- Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
- Support children with special educational needs by implementing individualised learning plans and strategies.
- Communicate regularly with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages social interaction, emotional growth, and academic development among students.
- Help maintain an organised classroom environment, including preparing materials for lessons and tidying up after activities.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to child education and care.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in a teaching or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of special education practices, especially related to working with children on the autism spectrum.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for educating and nurturing young minds.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being capable of taking initiative when necessary.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards children's learning experiences.
