Outreach Worker - Domestic Violence

Location: Walton-on-Thames
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Caritas Futures is proud to be working in partnership with a respected and established charity dedicated to supporting individuals affected by domestic violence and abuse. We are currently seeking a compassionate and committed Outreach Worker to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis in Walton-on-Thames.



Role Overview:

As an Outreach Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting victims and survivors of domestic violence within the community. You will provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, helping service users to increase their safety, rebuild independence, and access appropriate services.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and practical support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse

  • Complete risk assessments and develop individual safety and support plans

  • Work with high-risk clients to promote safety and reduce harm

  • Maintain a strong understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children

  • Deliver outreach support in the community and through multi-agency settings

  • Liaise closely with partner agencies including housing, social services, health, and the police

  • Support individuals facing complex needs such as homelessness, substance misuse, sexual abuse, or mental health challenges



Essential Requirements:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, ideally within the domestic violence or safeguarding sector

  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning, and safeguarding procedures

  • Ability to work effectively with high-risk and complex cases

  • A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

  • A genuine commitment to empowering and supporting survivors of domestic abuse
