Quantity Surveyor

Southern England (Flexible Location)

£450 per day | Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to deliver expert commercial management across our contracts. This role ensures income is maximised, costs are minimised, and contractual obligations are clearly understood and fulfilled. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with excellent stakeholder and risk management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, monitor, and report on commercial and contractual risks
  • Manage and mitigate risks across operational, financial, commercial, and technical areas
  • Lead variation/change control processes to capture additional revenue
  • Act as the central point for all commercially sensitive information
  • Ensure governance and compliance with both contractual and internal EQUANS standards
  • Promote awareness of contractual deliverables and service scope across project teams
  • Enforce commercial compliance and conduct audits as needed
  • Manage contract cash flow and support cost/value reconciliations
  • Oversee full commercial governance for subcontractors
  • Provide day-to-day commercial support to project management teams
  • Build strong relationships with client representatives
  • Assist with service optimisation and identification of efficiencies

Requirements:

  • Proven commercial experience in a similar sector
  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or Law
  • Practical knowledge of UK commercial law (Construction Act, etc.)
  • Ideally a member of, or working towards, RICS
  • Strong communicator with excellent financial and analytical skills
  • Sound understanding of risk management and business assurance systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
