Behaviour Support Assistant - Maidenhead

We are working with a highly regarded specialist school in Maidenhead who are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team starting ASAP.

Are you looking for a role where you can make a difference and support students who struggle with emotional regulation, mental health needs and behavioural needs?

This school are looking for someone who will come in with a positive attitude, be a pillar of support for their students and work closely with them in small groups to ensure that they have healthy coping strategies.

These students come from tough backgrounds and have been exposed to adverse childhood experiences. They have not been modelled healthy ways to regulate and process their emotions, and struggle with understanding their emotions. They all have specialised and tailored support programmes in place to support their needs, with goals in mind, to ensure that they have the correct coping strategies to carry them into adulthood.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural needs in the classroom. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in behaviour intervention and make a meaningful impact on children's lives.

Some of your roles and responsibilities will include helping build a safe and inclusive environment for students to thrive. You will also provide guidance in emotional regulation techniques and coping strategies. You will work directly with students to promote positive peer interactions and encourage good mental health well being.
