Overview

Are you a driven and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer with a passion for engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, or applied geology? We are seeking a talented individual with 1-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, combining site supervision, geotechnical analysis, and client collaboration in a supportive and professional environment.



Responsibilities

  • Supervise ground investigations on-site, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Prepare detailed interpretive reports, including geotechnical assessments and foundation designs.
  • Conduct ground movement analyses and numerical modelling where applicable.
  • Scope, price, and manage new projects, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative and practical solutions.


Qualifications

  • A first or second degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Applied Geology, or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in geotechnical assessments and numerical modelling being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • A proactive and creative mindset, with a desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.


Day-to-Day

  • Spend time on-site supervising ground investigations and coordinating crews.
  • Work in the office preparing interpretive reports and conducting geotechnical analyses.
  • Engage with clients to scope and price new projects, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative solutions for complex geotechnical challenges.
  • Balance fieldwork and office-based tasks to deliver high-quality results.
