About the Role

• Position: Year 2 Teacher
• Location: Ware, Hertfordshire
• Contract: Full-time, permanent (term time + INSET days)
• Salary: MPS1 to MPS6 (dependent on experience)

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and effective lessons, fostering a love of learning, and supporting children to reach their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally.

We're seeking a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Is innovative, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement
• Has strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
• Understands that behaviour is a form of communication and can use positive strategies to support pupils
• Has excellent spoken and written English and a sound understanding of Maths
• Is able to commute to Ware and fully commit to the life of the school

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' needs
• Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Create a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and resilience
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external partners
• Contribute to the wider school life through extracurricular and enrichment activities
