We are recruiting a temporary Hairdressing Lecturer to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at their state the of art facilities in Ware.

About The Role

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting learners in developing their knowledge, practical skills, delivering classes at the Ware Campus from September 2025.

As a Hair Lecturer, you will teach inspiring lessons to Level 2 Hairdressing to a group of 16- to 19-year-old Apprentices, in HRC’s vast and impressive purpose made salon learning environment. You will Team-teach alongside HRC’s Hairdressing Apprentices Assessor and Lecturer.

The role is offered based on 6 hours on Mondays. The contract is offered commencing September 2025 on an ongoing basis, term time only.

About You

Successful candidates will display a passion for teaching and enjoy interacting and engaging with students. You will work collaboratively with colleagues whilst using your own initiative. You will have great interpersonal and organisation skills and ideally be able to demonstrate previous teaching experience as well as practical experience. You may hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one but if not, you must have demonstrable experience of teaching Hairdressing up to Level 2 to apprentices. HRC will consider individuals coming from industry that have a passion for teaching with proven experience of developing the skills and ability of hairdressing and barbering students/junior team members.
