The Role:

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a varied opportunity in a unique and picturesque working environment?
If so, Venture Recruitment are recruiting a rare, newly-created position in rural Dorset that might be of interest.

Working closely with the Company Accountant, you will be hands-on, playing a key role within a small, collaborative team and supporting the day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Raising sales invoices and rent demands

  • Managing credit control and maintaining accurate tenancy records

  • Processing bank receipts, payments and completing bank reconciliations

  • Processing supplier invoices and payments, ensuring correct VAT coding

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate accounting information to support formal accounts production

  • Liaising with internal teams across property, forestry and farming, as well as external suppliers and tenants

  • Supporting additional finance-related tasks as required

Experience / Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in an accounts or finance role is essential

  • Well organised and able to manage workloads to meet deadlines
  • Confident communicator, willing to work as part of a small team in a rural location

  • Experience within property accounting would be advantageous
