NES Fircroft is recruiting a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join a leading agricultural company. This role is based at our client's site in Bracknell on a 12 month contract.

As a Synthetic Organic Chemist, you will have the opportunity to work in multi-disciplinary projects in the field of Agrochemistry, towards the creation of next generation weed control products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design safe, sustainable, and effective synthetic routes
  • Execute synthesis
  • Develop creative solutions to complex synthetic challenges.
  • Maintain excellence in modern synthetic methods
  • Proactively improve laboratory safety, efficiency, and workflows.

Qualifications:
  • Hold a PhD in Organic Chemistry or a closely related discipline
  • Experience in industry
  • a good understanding of process chemistry and scale up
  • Able to summarise and present scientific results
