Workshop Chargehand Job Details
Basic Salary: 拢45,000pa
Working Hours: Monday-Friday - 07:00-17:00
Location: Kettering

Responsibilities of a Workshop Chargehand
路Carry out vehicle inspection examinations in line with DVSA procedure and Company policy.
路Test and check that systems and components are safe, secure and working properly.
路Diagnose faults by isolating systems or components that may have caused or potentially cause a problem.
路Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage.
路Maintain a degree of flexibility while working in order to provide adequate cover to serve customer and workshop requirements.
路聽Ensure all relevant reports are sent to Workshop Controller.
路Ensure all service and maintenance paperwork is completed to DVSA standards in a timely manner .
路Complete daily handover to the workshop controller on fleet status/repair progress
路Maintain efficient day to day operation of the workshop and manage running defects to keep VOR to a minimum.
路Manage workload to ensure smooth running of workshop.
路Maintain and establish a safe, secure and compliant working environment.
路Ensure the safety of all personnel and security of premises under your control.
路Obtain accurate costings from suppliers and set to estimate for fleet desk approval when required.
路Ensure warranty parts returned and relevant paperwork complete Cover out of hours breakdown standby on a rota basis if required.

Skills and Qualifications of a Workshop Chargehand
路Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician
路Driving licence HGV Class 2 (minimum)
路Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
路Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
路High level of Health and Safety awareness
