Joining a fast-growing, niche energy business based in Warrington, this role is focused on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across the energy supply chain. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a commercially astute Management Accountant to support strategic decision-making through insightful financial reporting and analysis.
The Management Accountant will play a key role in providing financial insight and business partnering across departments. You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting project profitability analysis in a technically complex and fast-evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
Conduct project and contract margin analysis, particularly for energy generation, supply, or efficiency projects.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the energy industry (e.g. load factors, generation efficiency, cost per kWh).
Assist with the development of cost models and pricing strategies for new business initiatives.
Liaise with operational teams to improve financial understanding and control at all levels.
Prepare reports and financial presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulatory standards.
Support year-end audit and statutory reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
Part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA)
Strong analytical and commercial skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
