Accounts & Admin Assistant

Join a leading manufacturer in their field as an Accounts & Admin Assistant. Based in Lowton, the company is currently experiencing a period of growth and is seeking a dedicated individual to support their financial and administrative operations.

Duties:

  • Manage petty cash transactions and perform regular reconciliations to ensure all records are up to date.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve invoicing discrepancies and authorisation requests.
  • Process purchase invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and timely entry.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of the purchase ledger to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Reconcile credit card statements and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process, including the preparation of accruals and prepayments.
  • Provide general office support to other departments as needed, ensuring smooth operation across the company.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Accounts & Admin Assistant role.
  • Active pursuit of a bookkeeping qualification such as AAT, or substantial experience equivalent to qualification.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • High proficiency in numerical, administrative, and IT skills.
  • Previous experience with Sage 50 Accounts software is desirable but not essential.
