£31,000 per annum37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Working from home one day per week pending successful probation)Location - Warrington

We're thrilled to announce an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance department as they continue to grow and expand. Situated in a prime location in Warrington, their offices boasts excellent transport connections, conveniently accessible via public transit and major motorways (just a 5-minute drive from the M62 and M6 junctions). This business is in a pivotal stage of growth and development, yet they maintain the familial atmosphere that defines their culture. As a member of their small, dynamic, and welcoming team, you'll receive ample support from experienced management and enjoy regular social events with colleagues.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments, month-end journals, variance analysis, intercompany reconciliation, and nominal reviews.

- Compile debtors reports and assist with credit control.

- Reconcile balance sheets.

- Fulfill ad hoc reporting and tasks as necessary.

- Perform office administration duties, including answering incoming calls.

**Essential Skills and Experience:**

- Proven experience in accounting roles.

- Familiarity with accounting software, preferably Xero.

- Meticulous attention to detail.

- Proficiency in Excel.

- Strong organisational skills.

- Effective communication skills with excellent telephone etiquette.
