Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum plus package (negotiable subject to experience)

We are seeking a security systems design engineer with an impeccable knowledge of physical security products to join permanently and work with established commercial and design teams in ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with regulations and accordance with client specifications. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of integrated security systems such as CCTV and Intercom Systems and have confidence in their ability to integrate the physical security products with electronic security devices. Responsibilities:
- Lead site visits alongside the Head of Design or design team, acting as the primary contact for sub-contract designers.
- Develop electronic security scoping technical specifications based on site visits and 3D scans.
- Liaise with sub-contractor design teams to refine the scope of works and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Review and assess sub-contractor pricing and specifications for accuracy, quality, completeness, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee and manage Tender TQs, including maintaining the Tender TQ register during the tendering period.
- Assist project and tendering teams in producing technical documentation for tender enquiries and orders.
- Ensure compliance with security processes and procedures both in the office and on-site, including contributing to security accreditation documentation.
- Provide technical input into electronic and physical security installer/supplier subcontracts, ensuring value-engineered designs that meet client specifications and regulatory compliance.
What we require from you?
- Industry qualifications (ONC/HNC/B.Eng. or NVQ equivalent) in a relevant industry - Engineering/Construction/Electronics etc
- Proven experience and knowledge of integrated security systems, including Access Control, Intruder Alarms, CCTV (Analogue & IP), Audio Challenge, and Intercom systems.
- Expertise in system integration with central security management systems such as ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) and RVRC (Remote Video Response Centre).
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations, temporary works requirements, and BIM/PAS 1192 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages (AutoCAD experience is an advantage).
- Organised, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships while maintaining a professional, ethical, and customer-focused approach.
