This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Acoustic Consultant to join a dynamic team working on nationally significant infrastructure projects. As a Senior/Principal Acoustic Consultant, you will:

• Lead and deliver high-quality acoustic assessments for major infrastructure projects, including Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop bespoke assessment frameworks and innovative solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders, provide expert witness contributions, and craft compelling narratives to support successful planning outcomes.
• Apply advanced modelling techniques and develop analytical tools to influence decision-making at the highest level.
• Work across diverse project types, including road, rail, and airport schemes, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with regulatory standards in and around Warrington.

We are looking for candidates who bring a mix of technical expertise, curiosity, and collaboration. The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong interest and experience in environmental acoustics.
• Proven experience in multi-disciplinary projects, ideally including modelling, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
• Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and software such as MS Excel and Word.
• A postgraduate degree in a science or engineering-based discipline or relevant chartership (preferred but not essential).
• Membership in relevant professional institutions, such as the Institute of Acoustics.

Your typical day based in Warrington might include:

• Collaborating with expert teams to design and execute acoustic assessments.
• Engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Conducting site visits and fieldwork to gather data and validate models.
