Robert Half have partnered with a growing SME in the Warrington area to recruit a Head of IT on a permanent basis.

Head of IT - Strategic & Operational Role

Are you an IT leader with a knack for strategy and business systems process improvement? I'm looking for an experienced Head of IT to drive myclients' UK IT strategy whilst overseeing their Dynamics 365 estate to streamline processes and improve functionality; ensuring smooth and effective technology operations across the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the strategic planning and day-to-day delivery of IT services

  • Acting as the key point of contact for all IT-related matters

  • Ensuring our IT initiatives align with business goals

  • Managing relationships and performance of external IT service providers

  • Overseeing IT operations including security, budgeting, and compliance

  • Coordinating IT projects and ensuring they're delivered on time and on budget

  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in IT service delivery

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to shape and implement the IT strategy

  • Translate business needs into clear IT plans and priorities

  • Oversee and manage outsourced IT vendors, contracts, and SLAs

  • Monitor service performance, escalate issues, and drive improvements

  • Ensure IT services run smoothly and securely, with minimal disruption

  • Manage IT budgets, policies, risks, and infrastructure performance

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience in IT leadership roles, particularly managing outsourced IT services

  • Strong understanding of Dynamics 365,and have delivered processes improvement though systems.

  • 10 years+ across the full portfolio, including service, integration, applications, platforms, data, ERP, CRM, EDI, logistics and MS D365 preferable.

  • Excellent vendor and stakeholder management skills

  • An understanding of a next-day B2B and B2C business model inc EDI, carrier interfaces, warehouse management, etc would be beneficial
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to execute operationally

  • Strong understanding of IT governance, security, and service delivery
