Bid Writer
Specialist Civil Engineering Contractor – North West England/hybrid

An experienced Bid Writer/Coordinator is required for a brand new role, taking ownership of high-quality, client-focused tender submissions within the specialist civil engineering sector. This role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering compelling proposals that clearly demonstrate value, innovation, strategically aligned with client requirements.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end position (from initial PQQ's to completed tender document) that combines bid strategy, content development, stakeholder engagement, and submission oversight. You'll work closely with the operational and technical teams to develop tailored, persuasive proposals that stand out in competitive tendering.

What you'll be up to:

  • Coordinating tender submissions from initial enquiry through to final submission.
  • Reviewing client documents and identifying key requirements.
  • Working with technical staff to develop high-quality content.
  • Formatting, proofreading, and assembling professional bid documents.
  • Managing deadlines to ensure timely delivery of submissions.
  • Maintaining bid trackers and supporting continuous improvement of bid processes.
  • Updating and developing case studies, stakeholder CVs, and standard responses.

About you:

  • Extensive experience in a bid coordination, bid writing, or similar role (within construction, civil engineering, or a related sector).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Comfortable approaching colleagues to gather the required technical information as and when required
  • Deadline focussed

Salary will be agreed based on your level of experience, however will typically be between £40k and £60k plus benefits.

You'll have the opportunity to work two days from home with the others spent in the new office around the Warrington area. They'll also be the need for occasional trips to the group head office in London
