4+ Years Experience

Are you an accomplished Civil Engineer with 4+ years of solid UK infrastructure design experience, looking to step up and own complex projects in the North West? We're partnered with a respected, high-quality consultancy in Warrington offering a competitive package and genuine career progression, not just stability. If you're proficient in Civils 3D and ready to take technical leadership on major highways and drainage schemes, this is your definitive next career move.

The Opportunity: Technical Leadership in Infrastructure

This consultancy delivers an impressive portfolio of high-quality civil engineering projects across both the residential and commercial sectors, ranging from complex small-scale site improvements to vast, multi-million-pound developments.

As a key Engineer in the Warrington team, you will work closely with an Associate, but be empowered to manage the technical output of your projects from concept right through to final statutory approval. This role is ideal for an engineer who excels in the detail and is ready to consolidate their expertise on their path toward Senior Engineer status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Ownership: Lead and own the detailed design, calculations, and drawing production for site infrastructure, including earthworks, road networks, and foul/surface water drainage systems.

  • Statutory Approvals: Expertly deliver technical work to adoption standards, focusing on key agreements: S278 (Highways), S38 (Road Adoption), and S104 (Drainage).

  • Project Lifecycle Support: Manage and contribute to schemes across the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and planning support to detailed civil engineering design.

  • Collaboration: Act as the primary technical point of contact, liaising effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and local authorities across the region.

Your Professional Profile

We are seeking a technically strong Civil Engineer ready to take on the challenge of design leadership.

Essential Skills & Expertise:

  • A Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

  • 4+ years of proven, relevant design experience within a UK consultancy environment.

  • Expert knowledge of key design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, and UK adoption processes.

  • Proven proficiency in complex design software such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D (or Site 3D), and hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., Flow).

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder management.

Culture, Benefits, and Progression

This firm is defined by its commitment to staff. They foster an inclusive, high-performing environment where engineers are supported to achieve their professional best. It's a culture built on technical excellence, where professional development isn't just a promise-it's the norm.

Why You Should Apply:

  • Competitive Package: Receive a highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, reflective of the Warrington market and your experience level.

  • Varied Workload: Work on a diverse project range (residential, commercial, mixed-use), ensuring continuous technical development.

  • Clear Career Trajectory: Benefit from genuine, structured progression opportunities with a clear pathway defined toward Senior Civil Engineer status.

  • Supportive Team: Join a tight-knit and supportive team where knowledge-sharing and mentoring are actively encouraged.
