A sector leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for Health & Safety Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of HSE standards and developing a strategic plan for all related matters whilst taking a hands-on approach to promote best practise. Applicants are sought with experience working within a manufacturing environment and a proven track record of developing and implementing world class HSE policies.

The Role

Promote best EHS practices across the business and develop world class standards.

Champion the development of a high performing, safe delivery culture on site.

Ensure compliance with all applicable health & safety, environmental legislation, and relevant industry standards

Monitor environmental performance and identifying risks and areas for improvement.

Ensure arrangements are in place for the safety management of contractors.

Define EHS strategies to ensure objectives are achieved.

Manager, develop and coach the team.

Conduct site safety and environment inspections (planned and unplanned).

Conduct planned and unscheduled safety inspections and risk assessments.

Implement and manage health and safety actions/ recommendations.

Investigate safety events (accidents/ incidents and near misses), making recommendations to prevent recurrence.

The Person

Experience in Health, Safety (EHS) and Environmental Compliance.

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Good leadership and management skills.

Proven track record of developing and implementing new processes and best practises.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge of Environmental policies and practises.

NEBOSH qualified.
