Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in Warrington. The role is to start ASAP and will continue on a long-term basis until July 2025. There is the potential for this position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be joining a non-maintained special school in the South Warrington area that caters for young people aged 8 - 16 who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The school believe in education through positive reinforcement, allowing children to make positive choices through building strong relationships.

The school are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant who will be comfortable working in small groups and providing 1:1 support. The successful candidate must be friendly and confident and ideally will have experience working with children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

To be considered for this position as SEN Teaching Assistant in Warrington you must:

  • Ideally have experience working with children who have SEMH needs
  • Have knowledge of the UK national curriculum
  • Ideally be Team Teach trained
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references, covering the last 2 years, including your most recent education reference
  • Have a full and complete 10 year career history
