CLASS 1 DRIVER - TRUNKING

Shifts: THREE WEEK ROTATING SHIFTS, ACROSS SEVEN DAYS (WEEKENDS INCLUDED)

AM start bands between 01:00 – 04:00
PM start bands between 13:00 – 17:00

Pay Rate: £17.61 - £26.41 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay:

Basic up to 48 hours: £17.61 per hour
Overtime after 48 hours: £26.41 per hour.

Day to Day Duties:

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

Trunking work, depot to depot
Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all goods are loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assist with loaded and unloading of goods as needed

Essential Skills:

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience:

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training:

Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
